Our beautiful Devon cottages and cabin are cosy for an out of season break in the stunning countryside of East Devon and the Coly Valley. After a gloriously bracing walk along the river or coast, return to the toasty warmth and excellent facilities of The Granary, Dairy or Swallows and be seduced by the clarity of the star-filled night sky, unhindered by artificial light.
At Barritshayes Farm Cottages in Devon we’re in the heart of wonderful rolling countryside designated as an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ and, with walks along the ‘East Devon Way’ on our doorstep, it’s the ideal out of season break for walkers and cyclists. Enjoy a pub lunch at one of the many fine establishments in the area or perhaps an evening meal at Hugh Ferleigh-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Canteen in Axminster, just one of many places to eat where local produce is served. For those less active you’ll find a peaceful retreat to recharge the batteries, relax and enjoy the silence, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Christmas at Barritshayes is a wonderful Winter break in Devon. Have time away with the family or take both cottages and cabin for a family gathering or time away with friends. The children will love the games room, tennis court and the great outdoors and with outdoor Christmas tree and decorations in the cottage it’s a real festive treat.
