Sidney’s stunning morning

Hello, Sidney the sheep here. Just thought I’d let you know what a wonderful morning it is. A little cold on the toes when I was let out this morning – frost I think the humans call it – but what views! Even a sheep appreciates a bit of sunshine on his back.

I thought I’d introduce you to my other field mates. There’s Deacon, Cynthia’s horse who’s has very big feet and is extremely tall. He doesn’t like sharing his food, and because of his size I don’t argue.

Shadow, however is a pushover. Lets me eat out of his bowl and even used to tolerate me standing under his tail when I was young – I must say I had a bit of a crush on him at one time but I’m over that now.

My people tell me we’ve got visitors coming to the cabin today. What great weather they’re going to have this weekend. Just off to spruce myself up for the guests. Must make a good impression!

Good morning everyone. Let me introduce myself. My humans call me Sidney. I’m a Friesland sheep. Please note the attractive markings and soft, thick wool. Talking of thick, let me introduce you to my other friends. We’ll start with Cecil – a nice chap but only one brain cell we think.

My good buddy Cedric is a very nice sheep and like me is good looking and intelligent. Cedric is a gentleman and makes children laugh by undoing the zips on their jackets. A strange party-piece but hey ho!

Then there’s Stanley – well what can I say – the fattest sheep I’ve ever seen. Of course he’s a different breed from the rest of us, a Dorset Down cross. Maybe that accounts for his strange behaviour! Such a pig with his food. Absolutely no table manners.

Now you’re introduced I’ll keep you updated with our exciting life. Cynthia, Liz’s friend is always amused by my antics as I really can be a bit of a rascal sometimes. Lovely morning. Just been let out from the nice warm stable to nibble the grass. Ah! this is the life!! Come and visit us soon….

Availability for February half term and Easter. Out of season breaks from £140 inclusive for 3 nights in Swallows and £160 inclusive for 3 nights in the Dairy or Granary. Book before the end of January for a week or short break in January, February (excluding half term) and March and that will be discounted by 20%.

Sunshine today. The snowdrops are out already and the grass is still growing. This time last year we were under several centimetres of snow!
